1. POLICY OBJECTIVE

Aarunya Telangana operates as a social impact platform supporting artisans, weavers, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs). As most products are handcrafted and often made in limited quantities, this policy is designed to:

  • Protect artisan livelihoods
  • Ensure fairness to customers
  • Prevent misuse or fraudulent returns
  • Comply with Indian consumer protection laws
2. RETURN ELIGIBILITY SUMMARY

You may request a return ONLY in the following cases:

  • Product received is damaged
  • Product received is defective
  • Wrong product delivered
  • Size/specification mismatch (where clearly different from listing)
  • Missing item in shipment
  • Parcel received tampered

All other returns are subject to eligibility conditions below.

3. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are strictly non-returnable:

  • Custom-woven sarees
  • Made-to-order products
  • Products altered on customer request
  • Discounted items (above 25% discount)
  • Clearance / Sale items marked “Non-Returnable”
  • Blouses stitched as per measurement
  • International orders (unless damaged/defective)
  • Products damaged due to misuse
  • Products washed, worn, perfumed, or dry-cleaned
  • Items without original tags/packaging
  • Gift cards
4. RETURN REQUEST TIMELINE

Return request must be initiated:

  • Within 48 hours for damaged or wrong product
  • Within 7 days of delivery for other eligible returns

Requests made after this period may be rejected.

5. RETURN REQUEST PROCESS

Customer must:

  • Email: support@aarunyatelangana.com
  • Provide:
    • Order ID
    • Clear photos/videos (mandatory)
    • Description of issue
  • Wait for return approval

Unapproved returns will not be accepted.

6. CONDITION REQUIREMENTS

Returned product must be:

  • Unused
  • Unwashed
  • Unworn
  • In original condition
  • With original tags intact
  • In original packaging

Quality inspection will determine refund eligibility.

7. HANDMADE PRODUCT DISCLAIMER

Due to the handcrafted nature of products: The following are NOT considered defects:

  • Slight weaving irregularities
  • Minor thread pulls
  • Natural dye variations
  • Color difference due to screen display
  • Minor measurement variation (±1–2 inches)
  • Texture differences in handloom fabric

Such characteristics reflect authenticity.

8. DAMAGED PRODUCT CASES

If product is received damaged:

  • Customer must provide unboxing video
  • If approved:
    • Free reverse pickup (where serviceable)
    • Full refund OR replacement (subject to stock)

If no unboxing video is provided, claim may be rejected.

9. WRONG PRODUCT DELIVERED

If incorrect product is delivered:

  • Aarunya will arrange reverse pickup
  • Full refund or correct product shipped
10. SIZE / DESCRIPTION MISMATCH

If product materially differs from description:

  • Return may be approved after verification
  • Minor color tone difference not considered mismatch
11. CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS

We do NOT encourage change-of-mind returns. However, in exceptional cases:

  • Return shipping cost borne by customer
  • Refund may be issued as store credit
  • Restocking fee of up to 10% may apply
  • Approval at sole discretion of SOH Foundation
12. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

International orders:

  • Are non-returnable except for damage or wrong product
  • Refund excludes shipping & customs duties
  • Customer responsible for return shipping cost
13. RETURN SHIPPING POLICY

If return approved due to:

  • Damage
  • Wrong product
  • Manufacturing defect

→ Aarunya bears shipping cost. If return approved due to:

  • Change of mind
  • Customer error

→ Customer bears shipping cost.

14. REFUND METHOD

Refund will be processed:

  • To original payment method OR
  • As store credit (where applicable)

Refund timeline:

  • 7–10 working days after quality check
  • Bank processing time may vary
15. PARTIAL REFUNDS

Partial refunds may be issued in cases where:

  • Product returned damaged by customer
  • Missing original packaging
  • Returned beyond allowed timeline
  • Signs of use detected
16. EXCHANGE POLICY

Exchanges are allowed only if:

  • Size variant available
  • Product still in stock
  • Return eligibility conditions satisfied

Exchange shipping may be chargeable.

17. ORDER CANCELLATION

Customer may cancel:

  • Within 12 hours of placing order OR
  • Before dispatch (whichever earlier)

Orders already shipped cannot be cancelled. Custom-made orders cannot be cancelled once production begins.

18. FAILED DELIVERY / REFUSED DELIVERY

If customer:

  • Refuses delivery without valid reason
  • Is unreachable
  • Provides incorrect address

Shipping cost may be deducted from refund. Repeated incidents may result in account suspension.

19. FRAUD PREVENTION

SOH Foundation reserves the right to:

  • Reject suspicious returns
  • Blacklist fraudulent accounts
  • Deny refunds in case of return abuse
  • Require ID verification in suspicious cases
20. FORCE MAJEURE

Refund timelines may be extended due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Lockdowns
  • Courier strikes
  • Government restrictions
21. NON-DELIVERY CLAIMS

If order not delivered within reasonable timeframe:

  • Customer must notify within 7 days
  • Courier investigation required
  • Refund processed after confirmation
22. PAYMENT FAILURE CASES

If payment debited but order not confirmed:

  • Refund within 5–7 working days
  • Based on payment gateway reconciliation
23. ARTISAN-SUPPLIED PRODUCTS DISCLAIMER

Where product supplied by third-party artisan:

  • Aarunya acts as facilitator
  • Refund may depend on artisan confirmation
  • However, customer protection rights remain preserved

25. POLICY MODIFICATION
